“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:” (Heb 10:35-36)
Bob Jones was known to be a true prophet and friend of God. The Lord gave him a 100-year prophecy which he spoke about for many years his life. (You can listen to that prophecy here). In this prophecy, Bob said that the ten-year span of 2010-2019 would reveal the Faith of God. Previously, I interpreted this to mean that we would see amazing miracles during that period of time.
Since then, however, I have gained more understanding and a better perspective of the Faith of God:
Simply put, the Faith of God is what God believes. It’s what God believes about you; it’s what God believes about humanity (creation); and it’s what the Truth is.
The “revealing of the faith of God” means that we are a generation being raised up in Faith. Not just that we are seeing miraculous displays of what God can do, but we are actually being raised up in what God believes.
“O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.” Psalms 71:17
Remember how faith is produced? Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rom 10:17).
If the Faith of God is what God believes, then the Faith of God is His Word. And the Word of God is His voice that is within you.
“But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your mind and in your heart, so that you can do it.” Deuteronomy 30:14 AMPC
The “revealing of the faith of God” means there is a generation growing up in this period, being taught by the LORD how to hear His Voice for themselves, and fully trust that Voice within them.
It’s hearing his Voice (His expressed Word through the Holy Spirit), recognizing it for what it is, and experiencing the confirming power of when it agrees in fullness (bears witness/testimony) with your conscience within you.
“I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,” Romans 9:1 NKJV
When we experience this, we know without a doubt that we have heard the Voice of our Father, and we are able to move forward in full assurance of Faith. We become fearless and unstoppable, because everything that we do is founded upon the Faith of God, and therefore all things are possible. (Mark 10:27)
We begin to walk with an inner-conscious knowing, just like Jesus did.
“Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.” John 8:28
“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.” John 5:19-20
Pastor John Filler recently said that, “We are now in an era where faith is spelled T.R.U.S.T. instead of R.I.S.K.” It’s about Trust and Knowing. The Faith of God is not stepping out blindly in risk in support of an idea, it’s actually His faith creating what He believes through us. Faith doesn’t support, Faith creates (See Heb 11:1). And by knowing His Voice, we discover a boldness within to reach forward, take hold of the promises, and create (manifest) those things that God says are TRUE.
This trust (knowing) is all based on our relationship with our Father. We are called to know Him in the same way that He knows us. This is the way we discover our true selves, in Him.
“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13
Relationship comes through journey. Nothing can replace the need for time-investment in order to build and strengthen any relationship. The ups and downs of our walk, and going through new (sometimes trying) experiences, are how relationships are built.
The first few months of 2019 were challenging for me personally. Many people I know had a similar experience. Some went through personal problems; many experienced intense relational problems in family. Many things also changed in the church (body of Christ) around the world. Plans were upset; things were being shaken. Old mindsets were torn down as we realized that things that used to work no longer work today. All of these experiences we went through caused us to seek for Peace, which led us to the voice of God within us.
Challenges produce Faith. In light of the “paradoxical” nature of God that we see so often in Scripture, often it is those who go through AND are presently experiencing the most difficult battles, who have the most faith to overcome that exact thing (pain; struggle) that they are going through.
In the midst of our challenges it can seem difficult to see or understand what is going on. However, I know that anything that we experience here and in the present is small and incomparable to what God our Father has in store for our tomorrow (the glory that He has prepared). In every single challenge we experience, we are made aware of His Presence with us, and His ever resounding Voice within us. Through this, we know Him.
“Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.” John 4:42
We are a generation that is learning the true meaning (the reality), and embracing the promise of the Scripture that says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (Pr. 3:5-6). We are learning to seek and desire (long for) His voice in every situation and every circumstance. Because by hearing His voice, we learn His ways; we learn how to think and judge like our Father. We begin to believe not only who God says He is, but also who He says we are. And truly, that’s the essence of it all, discovering our identity in Him, in full maturity.
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” 1 John 3:2
2019 is the last year of this ten-year span of Bob Jones’ 100-year prophecy, where God is revealing His faith in us. Next year (2020) we enter into the period of the “Rest of God.” It does not seem strange to me that at this time there is a “shaking of things that can be shaken,” in order to produce a “strengthening of those things that are eternal (that eternal subsistence).” Be encouraged and receive strength (endurance) in knowing that God is refining, perfecting, and establishing you in the midst of everything that is going on around you (the whirlwind that surrounds you). And then remember that He is that whirlwind. For as He promises, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” and, “I am with you always (surrounding you like a storm), even to the end of the age.”
So don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward! You need the strength of endurance to reveal the poetry of God’s will and then you receive the promise in full. Hebrews 10:35-36 TPT
